Psychopharmacology and Emotion Research Laboratory (PERL)
We are based in the Department of Psychiatry in the University of Oxford at the Warneford Hospital. We are running a number of studies in healthy volunteers, people who are feeling low in mood or people who who have felt low in mood in the past.
We have a number of active research studies looking for volunteers. Our studies are all based at the Warneford Hospital (5 minutes from Brookes campus) or online, and all reimburse for time and travel.
All studies involve looking at the effects of medication on cognitive tasks investigating emotional processing, learning and cognition. We aim to improve our understanding of mental health conditions and mental health treatments.
For specific details and to enquire about volunteering, please follow the website links below or contact the research team via the study email address provided.
If you are interested in multiple studies, please note that you would not be able to take part in two studies simultaneously and would need to leave a gap between study participation (as discussed with the research team).
If you would like further information on any of the studies, in confidence and with no obligation to take part, please email us: perl@psych.ox.ac.uk
